Note: The following privacy notice is included in all work mandates granted to TelTravail.com unless the signatory of the mandate requires his own version as an annex to the work mandate.
We are self-employed worker, hereinafter referred to as "TelTravail.com", our consultants, subcontractors under the work mandates of TelTravail.com, undertake to protect the privacy and security of the personal information of TelTravail.com clients (including persons holding securities for which we are the trustees).
This Policy explains the types of personal information we collect and how we use it, as well as the steps we take to ensure that it is handled appropriately. Our policies and practices have been designed to comply with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) or the corresponding provincial privacy laws, as applicable (collectively, “Privacy Laws”).
What is personal information?
Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. This includes recorded and unrecorded information, regardless of its form, including home address, age, income, date of birth, ethnicity, medical history, credit history, payment habits and credit card number. The following types of information are not considered personal information:
- Company contact information (e.g. telephone and fax numbers, company address and email);
- Information contained in a public telephone directory, if the subscriber can refuse to have this information included therein;
- Information contained in a professional or business directory that is accessible to the public;
- Certain public records and certain court decisions;
- Certain other publications available in print or electronically that are publicly accessible.
Our commitments to customer privacy are based on the following principles:
1. We are responsible to you
TelTravail.com is responsible for all personal information in its possession or control, including any personal information provided to us by our agents or transferred to a third party for processing, storage or other purposes .
2. We tell you how we use your personal information
Most of the time, the reason is obvious given the context when we need to obtain personal information as well as for the use we make of it. Otherwise, the company TelTravail.com explains to you the reason for this need and the use of the information. We act explicitly or implicitly when the use we will make of your information is reasonably apparent by the nature of said information or given the context in which it was collected.

This includes emergency situations where TelTravail.com is unable to obtain your consent, as well as when TelTravail.com or its affiliates must collect debts or collect information as part of an investigation or prosecution by TelTravail.com or a law enforcement agency. You may change your consent preferences for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information at any time upon reasonable written notice, subject to exceptions permitted or required by privacy laws (e.g., where withdrawing consent would prevent the performance of a legal obligation, such as collecting credit). 4. We limit the collection of your personal information
TelTravail.com only collects personal information that is necessary to provide our products and services, including collections. We only collect personal information by using reasonable and lawful means. Here are some of the reasons why we collect personal information :
- communication with our customers regarding a credit, security or deposit;
- acceptance of a deposit;
- review of a credit application;
- processing and monitoring transactions, and communicating with you about them;
- protection against theft, fraud and error;
- analysis to determine whether relevant services are being provided to people who may need them;
- provision of the products and services you have requested;
- recommendation of products and services that may interest you or offer you added value according to the TelTravail.com company ;
- for security purposes;
- compliance with legal requirements and government requirements.
5. We limit the use, disclosure and retention of your personal information
TelTravail.com only shares your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected , unless permitted by privacy laws. TelTravail.com does not sell or rent your personal information to any organization or person for any purpose . We only share your personal information with third parties for the purpose of providing services to our customers or obtaining services to help us conduct our business. If we share your personal information with a third party, we will require that they comply with this policy when handling the personal information we have entrusted to them.

TelTravail.com regularly communicates and receives personal information about its customers from depository institutions in the course of its activities and ensures that proper service and accounting procedures are followed. TelTravail.com secures your personal information for as long as it is required for our business relationships or as required by applicable laws.
6. We keep your personal information up to date and accurate
TelTravail.com is committed to ensuring that the personal information in its possession is up-to-date, accurate and relevant to its intended use. You can help us by updating your personal information (e.g. a change of address) by contacting us.
7. The security of your personal information is a priority
We take steps to protect your personal information, regardless of the formats in which we hold it, including:
- shredding of documents containing personal information where applicable;
- measures for computerized personal information such as password protection, database encryption and personal identification numbers;
- processes such as restricting access to your personal information to a specific group of people;
- obligations with third parties who require access to your personal information, requiring them to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information.
8. We give you access to personal information about you
You can request access to personal information about you at TelTravail.com . Customers who wish to communicate with us can refer to the “To communicate with us” section of this document. You can make the following requests:
- know what types of personal information we have in our records or under our control, how it is used and to whom it may have been disclosed;
- have access to your personal information in order to consult it and verify its accuracy and completeness, and request to modify it. TelTravail.com reserves the right to refuse to make a correction, but if necessary, we will add a note to the customer's file with the proposed modification;
- update your personal information, subject to applicable exceptions under privacy laws, we reserve the right to refuse certain requests, including in cases where:
- requests that may result in the disclosure of confidential information about the activities of TelTravail.com .
- the information is difficult to access, and the effort and cost required to obtain such access are disproportionate to the nature of the request;
- access may hinder or obstruct an investigation or prosecution by TelTravail.com or a law enforcement agency.
9. How to protect your personal information
In addition to the steps we take to ensure the protection of your personal information, there are other ways you can protect yourself. We advise you to never share your personal or financial information with others unless you understand why they are asking for it and are certain that you are dealing with a legitimate contact. We also recommend that you never share important personal or financial information by email or voicemail.
